And with the lovely weather we had, I got to see it in all its' glory over the eleven weeks that I was home. We made many trips inland and along the coast, also in to Devon and Wiltshire too.
Phoebe loves these twopenny falls though I think we all do. She is not bothered about the money in them only the little prizes that you get too. We actually didn't spend that much in there either and had a great time.
We walked up along the cliff top one day towards Osmington Mills in the afternoon (poor Phoebe we really do walked her little socks off sometimes but I think she is getting used to it and doesn't complain any more) eventually scrambling - literally - down the cliff side to get to a rocky beach. On the way back up the steep cliff, poor Phoebe slid and grabbed the first thing she could, a bunch of nettles, to stop her from going any further. OUCH! Luckily there were lots of docks leaves nearby and although it really did hurt, she soon got over it but the rash and the stingy bumps were all over her hand and up her arm for the rest of the day.
Anyway it is a fascinating place on three levels but as it had rained, the bottom level was a little wet and not for people who have asthma as it was so damp down there. Even we found it difficult to breathe. I don't think it held living quarters for the servicemen on that level which is a good thing and in places it was very dark and just a little bit scary but Phoebe didn't seem to care as she was counting mice that they had put in the exhibits for the children to count (and keep them interested of course).
I think so xx
