I spent the morning in the garden clearing out old veggies and Derek did some digging moving some loganberries and fruit bushes to a new position. It is still very warm here for a month in to Autumn, 23 degrees for the last week and no sign of it dropping too much. It feels like Spring all over again.
We went out for a treat last Thursday to Wild Earth on the Kawarau Gorge road. We have been there for coffee and their great carrot cake before (I like to try out the carrot cake wherever we go as you must!) so this time we went for lunch.
It was a lovely way to spend two hours over lunch anyway; the staff are lovely and there is a nice atmosphere to the place.
While I am away in the UK Derek is going to tackle our big bathroom which at the mo looks somewhat dated, tired and has yucky but warm carpet in it.
It looked like the mountains and sky were on fire the other morning. It was so warm but had been a cold and cloudless night resulting in weird cloud formations at the base of the mountains.
We are starting to put the garden 'to bed' and doing lots of tidying. I have raked up lots of leaves already (last years leaf mulch is now on the garden doing its' thing).
Anyway, have a great week everyone - grew to speak to you just now Jules. Night night everyone, sleep well.
