Though it can stop now thank you as a portion of my back garden is now under water as the ground is so hard it is just skimming off the top of it!
After 9 weeks of drought I think nearly all of New Zealand is relieved except maybe the tourists. It is going to rain on and off for a few days then get back up to a 'nice and warm' at 23 degrees by Tuesday evening.
AND the monarch butterflies have arrived though I didn't see more than one as we now have their caterpillars on our Swan plants and they are gobbling them up as we speak. I will try and keep a close eye on them now to show the different stages and hope to catch one before they fly off!
We have had a very chilled weekend, sat out in the sun in the courtyard both of us yesterday afternoon after chores were done and both nodded off! Oh to be getting older!
The builder finished putting in the bones of our ensuite so we are just waiting for the new loo now as the other one had the wrong 'return' on it so that is going in the other loo. We have ordered the flooring and they are coming to measure up properly on Tuesday. We also have bought the flooring for the other loo too as we are changing that and the plumber has to take out the loos before we can lay the floor etc.
We also spoke to Deb and family this morning and Jamie and family too which was lovely. Hope it warms up in Canada soon though you looked very snug and warm in your houses this morning. And .....
HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY TO YOU TOO CLARE
Hope your party went well and you all had a good time.
Also Happy Birthday Auntie Alma for last Friday and to Kathy's Greg whose birthday was on the same day.
Right it is now 6pm so I had better start dinner. We had great steaks for dinner last night so are having sausages tonight as haven't had them for ages as it is a sausage and mash type of day.
Will leave you with a moody photo of Queenstown on Friday, still astounds me how beautiful that town is.
TTFN, be happy and love each other lots. Speak to you soon xxx
