The place belongs to the Stourton family who have been on this site for over 500 years.
The gardens were designed by Henry Hoare II and laid out between 1741 and 1780 in a classical 18th-century design set around a large lake.
It is all so beautifully set out, the kitchen gardens, farm buildings then on to the house then it opes out on to some of the loveliest gardens that I have ever been in.
And my favourite photo of the day - well it just had to be taken didn't it. Phoebe looks a real picture sat amongst the fallen blooms from this rhodedendron.
Think this is number 5 now, oh dear xx
