This is what Queenstown looked like on Friday lunchtime; it had been snowing overnight and the mountains we used to look at from our house here were definitely dusted with lots of snow and there was one heck of a cold wind blowing in from the Antarctic so it was a good job we were at work - and what a long day at work it was, seemed to last a long time for a Friday!
Cromwell on the other hand is much quieter visitor wise.
It is good to see all the blossom still hanging on to the trees though and everywhere coming alive.
This is the road just outside our office, there is a great fudge shop on the left hand side there, not a good thing to have so close really and I'm sure they waft the smell of it into the street just as I pass by. They do give away free samples of it though when you go in which is nice!
Today, being Tuesday, Derek is in the office on his own and I am at home trying to warm up. It is a cold morning which promises great things later on but not just yet, brrrrrrr!
I am going to get the rest of my veggies in the garden later and am going to also walk up to the Mall as not having the luxury of two cars here, I have to use my own two feet to get around. At least it is not far and the exercise will do me good and maybe warm me up too.
Well I suppose I had better get on and go to the shops, I need curtain tape and milk and can be sure of getting one of them, not sure about the other as there are not many shops here in Cromwell!
Will leave you with a photo of the Tavern in Gibbston Valley where we went for dinner on the way home on Friday after work, felt I deserved a glass of Peregrine Pinto Gris and some 'chips'.
Bye for now, thanks for looking and look after yourselves, missing everyone a lot xxxx
