That means me being on my own for a long time; I'm not good with that! I like people, I like talking, I like communicating so you might get more blogs on the way and hey, if you don't read them that's OK too it just me prattling on.
Today is my baby girl's birthday; Katharine is 36 today and I so miss not being with her on her birthday or any of my family for that matter.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATHY - my I wish you all the love and luck in the whole world - we have changed a bit in the last thirty-odd years haven't we? Hope you have a great day off and party tea with family xxx Since we have been home we have spent so much time in the garden as it is growing like topsy. We bought some more veggies on Saturday so they all went in while the weather and soil is so warm. We got the now leggy tomatoes out of the bathroom where they were growing on when we were on holiday. Just hope they don't snap in two in the beds outside now with our normal Spring winds! |
We are also eating from the garden already which is great. The broad beans are lovely and the leeks too, so pleased with them. It is the first time I have grown leeks so will put some more in next year.
I've been busy doing some patchwork too (I must finish some projects - I have two on the go, one to quilt and one to piece together) so this was a just because I can and I brought back some material from Hawaii too.
I went to the Kapaia Stitchery in Kauai ten years ago and bought material then - I made my turtle quilt which hangs up on the wall and a cushion cover which I have never quite finished, I found it more of a challenge than my fingers can cope with - so it was lovely to go back in there again.
Anyway I signed up to the Block of the Month with Jacquelynne Stephen's at 'The Noble Wife' and this is the first block done two ways.
It was so good to speak to so many of you over the last few days - hate to think of you all hunkering down to Winter when it is so nice here.
Anyway, take care all of you - TTFN - next holiday blog on the way!!!1
