After talking to Julie this morning about loosing weight before June, I must make more of an effort too so may drag Derek round the block again for a walk later. It will stop us falling asleep in front of the TV like I did last night.
We had such an outdoorsy weekend that we were both very sleepy and were in bed by 10pm on Saturday. I know we are getting old but that is ridiculous!
The rows of material on the left here is what is keeping me awake most evenings. I am making them in to a bag - I got the pattern and material in Auckland with Xmas money, thank you Mum x - and am spending every evening quilting them at the moment. Hope it is nice when it is finished, I will let you know and take a piccy of course! Gives me something to do while watching TV.
February and March are the best months here, the temperatures are a nice 23 degrees or so, the wind dies down and the days are still long enough to spend lots of time outdoors.
I have already told quite a few of you that we went cherry picking at the weekend. Two of the big orchards here are owned by two brothers, the Jones brothers, who are very nice and at least sell all their fruit for exactly the same prices so I got my apricots from the one on the main road, Highway 6, and the cherries from the Ripponvale Road, just to be fair.
TTFN, keep safe, until next time, take care of each other xxxxx
