I have been back in New Zealand for 33 days now and in that time I have packed up our house in Sunshine Bay and on 12 October we moved in to Wicklow Street in Cromwell, quite a big leap!! Derek bought the house while I was away in the UK and what a good choice he made with Alistair's help from Harcourts here.
Rex the removal man and his team moved us in here in what turned out to be a very wet day but all was OK and after 6 hours of moving out then in, we had the keys to our new house and all the boxes and furniture were in!
The gardens are lovely too with a nice front and back garden plus two courtyard areas which we are busy filling with our plants from the other house. There are lots of roses here as in our old one so they should look spectacular when they are all out soon.
Of course we still have the business in Queenstown so Derek will be there all week, me 3 days so we won't be saying goodbye to the place. It is 50 minutes drive so sounds a long way but it doesn't seem so as the drive there through the Gorge and wineries and passed Lake Hayes is gorgeous, give us chance to wind down too.
