Judy from Harcourts rang us later to say they really liked it and are selling theirs at the mo so will let us know their decision asap. Lord knows what will happens then with two bids on the table but it might not come to that. We haven't heard if Ray's house has sold yet so we are in limbo, a place that neither of us is good in.
There are no promises of work here in the next month either so that is making Derek 'anxsty' - he doesn't like this forced retirement one little bit.
The garden is looking good after another hour of rain the other day and the grass is greening up nicely. The apples and peaches are falling off the trees so Autumn is coming quick though the forecast is still good. Rain tomorrow though I think.
I tidied and swept the shed the other day too and ended up looking like 'Pigpen' from Charlie Brown. Derek thought it would be very funny to take a photo of me looking my best so I thought I'd share it with you.
I have been quilting as usual and my appliqué quilt is coming along nicely sat on my lap every night. The only trouble is that it is very warm here in the evenings so I have to have the fan on otherwise I melt, not pleasant to look at!
Because I am a bit daft I started a new one too in pink and cream as I bought the material when we were away in Australia and I knew what I wanted to do with it so couldn't wait to start. I have been looking at this layout for ages as I hadn't done anything with triangles as a whole thing before. The material is lovely; it is Raspberry Parlour by Riley Blake and the material designer lived not far away from where I bought the material in QLD so that kind of made it nicer. I just bought some plain cream material from Christina in the Mall to go with it.
Just snapped a photo of Derek enjoying a few moments in the courtyard, his favourite place to sit.
This weekend is the Wanaka A&P show which we are going to if the weather stays good. We haven't been for a few years now so it will be good to go. We are also just a few weeks away from going 'up north' which we are so looking forward to. Then Autumn will seriously be here as it will be Easter and then the Arrowtown Autumn Festival.
Gosh that year went quickly.
Anyway time for dinner, just a quick burger night tonight as I am trying to clear out the big freezer. There is unlabelled stuff in there that will just have to be a surprise for tea one night or maybe I will just throw it out, it has most probably been in there for over a year!
TTFN everyone, shake off your winter woolies and get out in the sun. Enjoy your holidays too Deb and family and Jamie and family, hope you relax and enjoy the sun and sea.
