Oh I like days like these.
Yesterday, another glorious day up to 28 degrees, we were heading for Wanaka for two reasons, well three really.
1. To pick up a new small chest freezer (so excited about this - now I can get more fruit and freeze it!)
2. To go to the A&P show we have gone to for the past two years; and
3. Because it is a gorgeous place to spend the day.
Did I tell you what a nice view it was?
We wasted a couple of hours up here then had a nice leisurely drive home passed the new and improved Wanaka Airport not missing having gone to the Show one little bit and bumped into lots of Kiwis doing their normal thing at the weekend and wearing themselves out riding round the countryside.
Now that we had the freezer, albeit still in the boot, we stopped at Webbs to get some more apricots and nectarines, sadly their peaches have finished now so I might go up to Jones's and see if they still have any left. All the cherries finished a few weeks ago as the season for them is quite short and we are now getting pears and soon lots of apples. We are getting imports from the north now as they are ready a few weeks before ours. They are such a good price too at £1.50 a kilo for the apricots, nectarines and pears.
TTFN for now, take care everyone and give yourselves a hug from me xxxxxxx
