We had some frosts too last week with the clear skies so as they say here, wait to plant out til Labour Day (that's in two weeks!). I am not the most patient of gardeners though and as everything is growing so well in the shed, I just want to plant it all out. So I have lost a few beans and maybe one of my courgettes but hope it will rally.
The day before we went to Dunedin two weeks ago we went to the Alexandra Blossom Festival which was a really nice day out. They have a procession here every year followed by a big fete and live music. It was packed with locals and tourists as it was a lovely day, so nice to have good weather for these things as the forecast was not good.
This next one is from an altered square from a Utube clip by Jenny Doan and I loved doing it. I am sashing it at the moment so will show you when it is finished. Kacey liked it when I showed her on Saturday.
I'd spoken to Kathy and Greg the day before too who are all settled in now and look like they have been there for ever. Kathy is doing lots of crochet at the moment and has produced lots of blankets, gloves etc and I only taught her how to do it five weeks ago!! Sorry Greg, you are going to get fed up with lots of wool everywhere!
Hope Julie and the gang are all having a great time with your girly weekend away, how I miss those lovely and special times nattering with good friends.
P.S. It's raining again!!!!!!
