And we had our surfing lesson on the Saturday morning in Hanalei Bay!! Excited or what!
But first we went in to Hanalei town to book in with the people who were taking us and we had some spare time so they told us to try out the Farmers Market at the other end of town so we walked over there.
Of course it had to rain too, only a passing shower and I took photos of the lovely little church on the way.
It was hard enough work getting those boards out in to the sea and as the waves started to build, which they did, trying not to smash a part of your body with said heavy surf board because of the waves was more of a hassle than getting up on the blessed boards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They have a good system of DVD hire in the hotels here in Hawaii where the hotels rent them out free to hotel guests from these wonderful machines where once you work out the instructions Derek!!! you get the film of your choice. So after a quick meal we settled down to a film and some cocktails. We had a great blender here that smashes ice cubes (we had a fantastic ice making machine inside the freezer) to bits and froths up your rum and fruit juice to perfection, just the right thing for weary bones at the end of the day.
