I painted the wardrobe doors in our room the other day too so they look all nice and fresh now too. And of course I have been doing some more patchwork. I get days when that is all I want to do so just go for it.
Summer has arrived with a bang over the last few days, it was 29 degrees yesterday and will be 30 today, much hotter here than in the north! So looks as if Christmas may be another hot one so hopefully we will get some good weather in the deep south while we are away. We have had a nice week getting used to living with each other again and also went to Paddy's for dinner on Saturday which was nice. Elaine was there too and they invited our neighbours Loma and Joff (we get our wood from him) so it was a nice easy evening.
We went out walking for a few nights last week too which is nice. Thursday we headed down to the Old Town; it had been drizzly then warmed up very quickly so the photos were good.
I picked up some sticks from the shore round here the other day too so Derek drilled some holes in them for me, I found some wooden beads that I must have had for over twenty years in my sewing box and hey presto, a very rugged Christmas tree!!
The hills around here have turned from a purple haze to a vivid yellow now as the California poppies take over and the yellow rock flower ( not its' real name and I have no idea what it is called, I got some fro our garden last year).
