.............. but we have finally moved in to our new home in Wimborne and are loving it. We have had quite a few alterations made to the original bungalow already thanks to a very handy bro-in-law and it is great to be surrounded by our things once more, well most of them. Due to a mess up at customs quite a bit of our furniture plus the cushions from our couches never made it to us and because they didn't tell us at the time it happened, we are very unlikely to ever see them again. It means we have had to make do with a few things and have lost forever a few beloved possessions. What makes it worse is that we were only insured for full loss not individual items so looks like we are not going to get compensation either. That is the last I am going to say on the matter!
Today is a good day. Not only is it my sister Julie's granddaughter Evie's first birthday but we have just heard the great news that my eldest daughter is going to have a boy in November. How thrilled am I? Well, can't explain it really. To be a grandma again is just such a wonderful thing and this baby means so very much to a wonderful couple of lovely people who deserve this precious gift so much. Will keep you posted.
Also Julie had a grandson ten days ago, on our birthday, Charles Alexander who will be known as Charlie. He is doing well so welcome to you little one.
Also Clare is pregnant and due early next year which is such good news.
So much good news.
I have so much to say I don't really know where to start. This year has been so full already.
A lovely trip over to Tresco for a week with Julie and Mike, days out with my girls and Phoebe, starting my new contract at work, working with friends old and new once more, getting together with all my old crafty pals, friends visiting from far flung places. And to come; children and grandchildren visiting from Canada in only a few short weeks. This year is going to be a year full of love and hugs.
Thank you for being so generous to our family 2016.
I'll leave you with a photo of Brownsea Island from Poole Harbour - we went out there on a school trip last Friday which was so nice. This was just before the heavens opened but we were under cover on the Dolphin boat.
