I really am not the most patient of people. When I want something I like to have it as soon as humanly possible so this house thing is getting me so frustrated.
Luckily we have been given even more extra time by the brothers in Wimborne to sell the flat and we've had three more viewings this past week. One said it wasn't big enough (do people not look at the details and if they don't what is the point of estate agents?!). The next one loved it to bits and has put in a cheeky offer but her buyer has to sold his yet (we were told at the beginning of all this not to look unless we'd sold) and the third one is choosing between ours and another. So at least we are getting people in which is a positive thing.
So we seem no further forward though than we were when we were so badly let down ( we should have moved last Friday!).
So hence the blog title!
The trouble is we've been living like gypsies since March either packing, moving country, visiting other places, living in motels or family members' houses and our stuff is well on its way with nowhere for it to go when it gets here! Everything is so uncertain.
On the good side we are home, Derek has work and I have the promise of some days so maybe all our chickens haven't all run inside to roost in this windy weather!
So we went out for a drive yesterday and found a nice pub in Mannington about five miles from Wimborne on Holt Heath. Can't really remember being up that way before and it is a lovely open space. The pub was the Cross Keyes and was very cute with good Ringwood beer and good cider so with a couple of wraps that was us for lunch. Even in the iffy weather it is still nice to get out and about.
It was also all dressed up for Christmas and the decs were lovely; it must have taken them ages to get them all done.
We popped in to see Julie and Mike on the way home via the 'we so hope we get it' bungalow in Wimborne. Benj and Jess arrived with gorgeous Evie not long we got there, they were babysitting until today. She is changing so much and so cute, eating a few solids now and rolling around on the floor.
They are gorgeous at this age xx
I spent a lot of time with my girls this week and walking Dax with Becky. All this walking isn't making me loose the weight I need to but keeping me fitter I hope. Phoebe got a new indie from Auntie Kathy as she seems to have had s growth spurt so her last one didn't fit any more. Becky had to buy her new wellies and school shoes too.
Derek wants to go for a walk along the cliff top so although I'd much prefer to sit here and write this I should walk instead.
So bye for now x
Well ok the exercise was good, 2.2 kms covered and 'climbing stairs' action. But everything climate wise hit us right between the eyes. The wind blew us east across the cliff top, the sand hit us squarely in the face on the prom heading west then when we got up to the top of the slope it started to pour down! Ho hum but I have to say I feel better for it now and had a facial treatment for free!
Looks like they are putting in new sea defences down on our beach as well as all the vegetation on the slopes.
Just a bit wind blown there!
I made some pumpkin soup for lunch today so that is going to go down well in an hours time.
Last weekend especially Sunday was glorious and we decided to change beaches and go over to Sandbanks. It's so nice having the choice of all these beaches right on our doorstep rather than having to drive for nearly three hours through albeit wonderful countryside to get there.
I took this photo into the sun so it looks very gloomy. We invited Becky and Dax to come along with us as it is good to have the company too and she loves to come out with him. Phoebe had been to an archery party the day before and was staying at a friends overnight.
There were so many people out with their dogs on the beach that Dax really didn't know who to go to first - he made lots of new friends. People always comment on what a lovely friendly dog he is.
We had a nice long walk and got tea from the cafe too which was packed.
This time five years ago Derek was emmigrating to NZ - I was to follow two months later.
This time one year ago we went to Clyde to watched 'Interstellar'. We were starting to show people round our home too - Alistair brought a couple round to test the waters - so maybe you can understand my frustration as we've been invaded for a year! It's also a lot of cleaning and making things look nice all the time.
So Derek is off this week and we are popping down to see Gordon one day. We also booked a trip to the Scilly Isles for next year which we are so looking forward to. Derek used to live there so is planning on revisiting lots of watering holes.
I must finish making my Christmas cards too, have done about three quarters of them so far and have to get some sent to old friends and family overseas this week.
So with that in mind take care of yourselves X

See you in a while x
